Love Locks (:

Okay so i was on corinne bailey rae's official website and came across some of her "blogs" she has on her website.. ah i love her stay tuned for me doing a total review on her album as well as pics of me seeing her in concert in may..but before i get ahead of myself..i saw this amazing thing on her blog here goes...

05.02.10 LOVE LOCKS AND WINDOWS

"Stood on a bridge over the Seine at 8 in the freezing-but-bright Parisian morning, I noticed all these padlocks attached to the railings. I thought they had been left by lazy cyclists but someone told me lovers go to this bridge to lock their hearts together, leaving these engraved locks as a symbol and throwing the key into the water below. I thought it was beautiful.

I was in Cologne a few days later and I noticed this same thing on the Hohenzollern Bridge over the Rhine, except this time there were hundreds of locks stretching all the way across the bridge. Apparently this is the original bridge, where it all started, initiated by a German artist as a kind of public installation and taken on by the people. When I looked into it I found there were conflicting stories of this tradition's origins; some say it started in

1980s Hungary, others that the lucchetti d’amore where first seen in Italy over the Tiber. I liked the German nu-folklore version best. I love the idea of a new tradition starting up....

isn't that so beautiful...ahh it makes me know love is a universal feeling and can't miss anyone..gives me hope i suppose..
well that is all for now guys..lol i'm cramping up )= ugh stupid mother nature..(hey we're all girls here..maybe..i can be honest..) lol

be sure to purchase her album..i know i will be totally forgot to go to target and get it...
blahh i hate when i do that but i love her so i'll make the trip next time i go to the store..
